deployPROMIS is driven by the fact that many SMEs lack formalised management systems either because they cannot afford them, they see themselves as "too small" to justify such systems or they lack the staff abilities to use such systems. As a result small and medium sized businesses lose opportunities to make efficiency savings and lose opportunities to acquire new customers. PROMIS is specifically designed for personnel who are not specialists in Environment, Health&Safety and Quality; it enables managers to accomplish the majority of important tasks either themselves or colleagues.

PROMIS has been developed from standard models and has been independently validated. It has also been tested and piloted with a range of SME's and other organisations.

Thanks to the support of the European Commission, eTEN and private investors, PROMIS is initially being marketed in five countries: Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Rumania and Greece.
